Monday showers of blessings come from 2 Thessalonians 3:7-9 "For you know how you ought to imitate us. For we didn’t behave ourselves rebelliously amongst you, neither did we eat bread from anyone’s hand without paying for it, but in labour and travail worked night and day, that we might not burden any of you, not because we don’t have the right, but to make ourselves an example to you, that you should imitate us."
Paul and other Apostles demonstrated to the new believers the Mission Approach which they ought to follow. They set an example of generating own income and at the same time preach the Gospel. By doing this, they could not burden new believers who could not understand the concept of Kingdom financing. Some people don't understand why the Church needs money, but remember operates like any other organization. There are a lot of things involved like: Transportat, Books, Media, water, office furniture, electricity, accomodation, food, office space, building Maintainance and salaries for all stuff members. All these requires money. Looking back into History of Reformation, the Mission approach was Gospel and Education. Later we could see Gospel, Education and Health. Missionaries were generating income to sustain their Mission activities. This is a good example of Mission approach we need to follow that is self sufficient, especially when the Church has no mature Christians to understand the operations of the Church as an organization. When the LORD raises mature Christians who are Kingdom Financiers, we bless HIS HOLY NAME. Why? Because they are faithful in supporting the work of the Kingdom. Amen.
Blessings and Shalom
