Habakkuk 2

1 I will take my position and be on watch, placing myself on my tower, looking out to see what he will say to me, and what answer he will give to my protest. 

Take your position

Habakkuk talks of taking our rightful position. He remembers that we need to be on a certain position in order to hear the voice of the Lord. When we are in difficult situations or surrounded by circumstances, what action do we take? We need to know that there is still God, a God who hears and answers hence the need for us to be on our rightful position - a position of prayer. Stand up and say, "here Lord I am ready to hear what you say about my life".

Habakkuk says, "...wait and see what he will say and what answer He will give to your protest". We will not just sit and relax but we will wait on prayer.

Prayer

Lord, we need to hear your voice. Help us to take our position and be on the watch as we await your answer. Amen
