Tuesday showers of blessings come from 2 Thessalonians 1:3-4 "..... And this is a cause of our mentioning you with pride among the churches of God for your steadfastness and your firm faith in the midst of all the persecutions and crushing distresses and afflictions under which you are holding up."
Vs 3, Paul gave two reasons why he felt compelled to pray a thanksgiving prayer to GOD. In vs 4, he further gave more reasons as well. What are they?
They are proud of Thessalonians, to the point that they mention them to other Churches as an example. Thessalonians demonstrated faith and endurance in the face of persecution. One's true faith and resilience is seen when you pass through persecution or real trouble. Without problems, it is easy to demonstrate faith. True faith is only seen when confronted with real problems. When Thessalonians survived the persecution, Paul was proud of them and felt compelled to mention them to others as a way of encouraging others facing persecution. My prayer is that the HOLY SPIRIT enables us to demonstrate our faith in all situations, good or bad. Amen.
