Fear God ...

Many people are afraid of other people instead of fearing the One who sees them every moment

Hebrews 4

13. 'Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.'

This scripture must always help us to remember whom we should respect. In the book of Matthew, there is scripture which quotes Jesus saying whatever someone does to another person, he or she is not doing it for himself or herself, but to God. Unfortunately we continue, (and this is a recurring generational error) to see people disobeying God no matter how many times we hear His Word being preached to us! The Adamic rebellion seems to cause every generation to fall into the same trap which made Adam and Eve to fall off from the glory of God. This should lead us to ask ourselves who the gate keeper is for our deeds. According to today's scripture, every person has the responsibility of checking their own habits as no one else will stand before God on their behalf to receive the judgement for all the things they did whilst living on this earth. Why do we worst our time fearing other people and not the One to whom we will be accountable? What is the encouragement from today's scripture? Do good all the time, and whatever you do, do it as if you are doing it for the Lord. There is no fear in doing good, but fear holds us at ransom when we break God's righteousness. My encouragement for you is that you must strive by all means to do what is right according to God's expectations and not according to what another person will say about you. If you know what you want to do or say pleases God, go ahead doing it without fear of being ridiculed by someone else, be it your close relatives, friends or anyone who may be against your open faith and trust in God. And I am saying it is by doing what pleases God which qualifies you to be like the person whom God planned to make in Genesis 1:26-27, whose heart and mind reflects the 'bodily' (imagery) and behavioural traits of God. Follow the life style of Jesus Christ who even if He faced death for obeying His Father's commandments, He didn't cast away His focus on doing the will of God. Let us fear God, and not fear what other people will say for our fellowship with Jesus Christ.

This is the only promise which opens a pathway to our eternal destiny. Fear sin and believe that God will, by the power He has bequeathed to His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, will give you a way to escape from the power of sin, 1 Corinthians 10:13, Philippians 4:13. Good morning believer in Christ Jesus?
