"KEEP YOUR TRUST IN THE LORD"
We thank the Lord for His love, mercy, grace and our salvation. Do you have fear or doubt when you travel on a plane? You should trust the Lord the way you trust the safety of the plane and the navigation of the pilot and the co-pilot. The Israelites lost their trust in God. They began to complain and murmur among themselves. They began to commit idolatry and all the works of the flesh. Galatians 5:19-21; 19. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20. Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21. Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." The Israelites were looking for peace in the world. But peace does not come from the world. Peace only comes through the Lord. Matthew 14:22-33; 22. And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. 23. And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone. 24. But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. 25. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. 26. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. 27. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. 28. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. 29. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried saying, Lord, save me. 31. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, Wherefore didst thou doubt? 32. And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. 33. Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God." When Jesus told Peter to come, Peter walked on the water. But Peter took his eyes off Jesus when the wind became very strong. He took his focus off Jesus and began to sink and he cried out for Jesus to save him. Peter lost his focus on Jesus. He lost his trust in Jesus. Keep your focus on the Lord and trust Him. He will never leave you. Hebrews 13:5; "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Isaiah 43:1-3; 1. But now thus saith the LORD that created thee,O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee,I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
2. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. 3. For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee." The words "fear not" can be interpreted as "Trust Me." Are you looking at God or the situation? Job lost everything. But he never lost his faith and trust in God. God is bigger than any adversity that you may encounter in your life. TRUST HIM.
Hallelujah!!!!!!
