Know God's Purpose

Whatever happens to you, know God's purpose for such a time like that (Esther 4:14)

1 Corinthians 12

6. 'God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.'

When something happens to us, whether good or bad, we tend to either be happy about or regret it. We feel happy because of the approval we get from others who see the goodness of what we would have done. We inversely feel ashamed because of the disapproval we receive when others express disappointment over the wrong (perceived) things we would have demonstrated. However, there is always one thing which escapes our conscience! God, in His own righteousness, is divinely behind everything which happens to us, be it good or bad, (I am not ashamed to continue to share this, my favourite verse, Romans 8:28), for everything He does serves to bring us closer and closer to His will. Whenever I do something good, I am always filled with happiness because of the approval I get from God. In contrast, when I do something bad, I become remorseful because of my realization that I had breached God's covenant with me! Yes, I woefully regret it because I realize how much satan is manipulating me to do evil things which bring God's condemnation over my life. One good thing I always do is to confess my sins (and confession of one's sins is not always doing it to the public, but it has to be done in a such a way that God's attention is drawn to it so that His mercies are released as show of His redemptive power) whenever I realize the wrongs I would have done. I don't sweep the wrong things I would have done under the carpet in order for me to appear as if I am not wrong. And this is what we are being taught in today's scripture devotional. Accept everything as being from God who doesn't want us to lose our place in His righteousness. I always tell people that when they do something good, God will be using them to show others to be good. And when someone does something which God says doesn't please Him, He will be using the event for us to learn that such a happening doesn't please Him. My dear believer in Christ Jesus, accept everything which happens around you as it serves to remind you whether God is pleased with it or not. In the same way, if you see someone doing something good, accept it as a blessing, for it will strengthen you to do good, and if it doesn't seem good, you are more likely to avoid doing it, thus your faith in Jesus Christ is soli

dified and eternal life is yours forever. Good morning believer in Christ Jesus?
