Tuesday showers of blessings come from 2 Thessalonians 3
[10] For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: “If anyone is not willing to work, don’t let him eat.”
There were idle lazy slackers not willing to work. Paul admonishes them and encouraged others not help such people because supporting those who are content to live on handouts enables spiritually toxic attitude. Take note of the difference between someone willing to work but has no job and someone with the opportunity to work but refuses because, he is lazy. Promoting laziness will cause trouble for you. Proverbs 13:4 “The soul of the lazy man desires, and has nothing; but the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.” The lazy man desires what hard working people want: from basic needs to basic wants. But the lazy man's desires remain unsatisfied, while the diligent gain wealth. Those who promote their laziness mustn't eat as well. May the LORD help us to be diligent. Amen
