Hebrews 10
14. For by that one offering he forever made perfect those who are being made holy.
15. And the Holy Spirit also testifies that this is so. For he says,
16. “This is the new covenant I will make
with my people on that day, says the lord:
I will put my laws in their hearts,
and I will write them on their minds.”
The day you accepted Jesus Christ as Controller of your life, it was the same time you decided not to let sin lead you into rebellion against God. You are forever to put all your trust in Jesus Christ who intercedes for you all the time when the slanderer comes strongly with his evil intentions to snatch you away from the presence of God's protection. With the new covenant firmly written and securely embedded in your heart and soul, there is no way satan can ever cause you to sin. You continue to study the word of God and live by what it says you must do. Whatever God says will come to pass over your life, there is no one who can stop it from happening as long as your trust is fixated on the righteousness and unfailing love of Jesus Christ. He offered Himself as a sacrifice for the cancellation of everyone's sins, however we are obliged to acknowledge the significance of this sacrifice just by doing everything which pleases God, The Father. If Jesus had cancelled our ways of sinning more than two thousand years ago, what is it which keeps us being dragged into sin? One thing I have learned in my prayer life is the awareness to listen to the Holy Sprit prompts. We sin not because we are unaware of what sin is, we sin because we think when other people don't see us breaking God's laws, God Himself will not be seeing us. Don't fear what people will say when you do something bad or wrong, fear the One who will judge you in the end, and the Judge is no one else other than God. Declare that when you gave you life to Jesus Christ, it was a once off decision to never let satan control the way you live. Tell yourself you have nothing to lose by doing what is right before and what pleases God. Being a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17) you have been given God's authority to rule over satan. There is no one who or nothing which is able to extinguish your relationship with Jesus Christ. Keep on placing your faith and love in doing the will of God.
