Tuesday showers of blessings come from James 1:13 "When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death."
Yesterday I spoke about verses 13&14. Sin comes from within ourselves and not GOD. GOD does not tempt us with evil. Trials are just there to help us exercise our faith in GOD. In that same line of thought, verse 15 brings out the stages of evil activity. It starts as a desire then desire gives birth to sin and sin gives birth to death. Let me illustrate this in Shona. (zvinotangira pakusagutsikana kunounza kuchiva, kuchiva kunokumanikidza kuita chakaipa, Kana waita chakaipa, wobva wava kuita cover up, and sometimes in covering up, dzimwe nguva umwe munhu anofanira kutofa.) so this is what James is illustrating. Let's pray against such progression of sin. Amen.
Blessings and Shalom
