Everything we do is futile unless we give God to do it for us
Philippians 4
6. 'Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.'
Success in your adventures is strongly related to the intimate relationship you have with your Creator. As the year is gradually gravitating towards curtain close down, it is also most likely the time a sizeable number of people are or will be taking stock of what has become of their twelve months' grand strategic plans and their vows to achieve what powered them to roll into 2022, after emerging from a near blighting COVID-19 epidemic disaster. There are also those who don't care about burdening themselves with cobbling strategic plans about what will become of their future. To such people life is on auto pilot mode, no control systems to direct how life turns out! Grand plans are also designed not just by individuals or groups, there are gigantic corporates who are known for their world class economic successes, and it's never known how they go about doing business. One thing that has failed to get 'empirical' investigation is on how many individuals, groups or corporates ever mention God's involvement in their grand strategic plans! Part (b) of our verse for today is giving us clear guidance on what we need to do if success is to come through our way. God knows what we need before we ask for it, and it is the reason why we need to keep on asking, seeking and knocking (Matthew 7:7), even when we may be consumed by what we perceive to be delays. And Paul encourages us all to keep on doing what is good, (Galatians 6:9) as God, at His appointed time, will hand over the reward to those who consistently and constantly look up to Him for answers to their desires. Unless we give our plans to God so that He leads us into implementation of what we feel we need to get in life, such plans hugely remain unfulfilled as the ONE who is Designer is elbowed away from us. Think about how you have walked along the 2022 faith journey. Have you consistently and constantly asked God to take a leading role in directing your steps? Again, it is possible you are already thinking about what you want to achieve in 2023, which scripture verses are speaking to what you want to do? However, there are some who will read today's devotional, who will also say they have been successful without asking God to show them how they should do whatever they wanted to do, to them I have one simple piece of advice, and it comes from Genesis 1:26-27. Humanity the world over and even in the Heavenly realm, is called upon to follow God's plans. Whether you are an individual, family, group or work for a multi-conglomerate entity, ask God, in the name of Jesus Christ, to lead you into all you want or need to do. Let God occupy the driving seat as you sit by His side while He takes you into 2023. Your future is prosperous if it is instructed by God. Trust God to do everything for you by simply obeying His plan for you. Good morning believer in Christ Jesus?
