Esther 3:5-6

_[5]When Haman saw that Mordecai did not bow or pay him homage, Haman was filled with wrath._

_[6]But he disdained to lay hands on Mordecai alone, for they had told him of the people of Mordecai. Instead, Haman sought to destroy all the Jews who were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus—the people of Mordecai._

*The people of God*

 Haman sought to destroy Mordecai because of his refusal to bow down to him. He realised that all Jews had the same traits as Mordecai, hence he sought to eradicate all Israelites in the kingdom.The sufferings directed to those who believe in God are mostly because they lift high the cross of Jesus Christ.

The devil is aware that Christians have the same beliefs and he will seek to bring them down. Our main crime is that we  worship the one true God.

 Our God will fight for us as long as we remain faithful and committed to His will. It does not matter how many accusations are labelled at us or how the accusations are justified. Jesus died so that we may be victorious and our God will never be defeated. Let us remain a people of God.

*Prayer*

Oh Lord, Jehovah Nissi, help me to remain under your banner and covering. Even when trouble comes, help me to continue to keep my eyes on the cross of Jesus Christ, the only one who deserves my worship.
