Wednesday showers of blessings come from James 1:25 "But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does."
James likened someone who hears GOD'S Word, but doesn't do what it says, to a man who forgets his own face immediately after looking into a mirror. It is ridiculous to us, because you can't look into mirror, and fail to act on what you see. Whats the point of looking into the mirror. On vs 25 James explains how believers ought to handle their study of the Word of GOD. Like one carefully looking into a mirror, Christians should also look carefully and intently into the perfect law, the law that gives freedom. When they routinely do that and obey what they see there, they will be blessed in what they do. Amen.
