"So Abraham brought sheep and cattle and gave them to Abimelech, and the two men made a covenant."
Abimelech requested a covenant from Abraham that there shouldn't be any foul play in future. They did it verbally. But Abraham suffered foul play. Now he came to make the Covenant according to GOD'S command. When making a Covenant, there is an Agreement, a Sign and a Promise. Every covenant in the Bible has these 3 things. Ndipo pamunohwa kuti ukama igasva bgunozadziswa nokudya. Our Gracious GOD demonstrated and commanded how Covenant are done. Abraham did not just believed but he carefully followed what GOD commanded and demonstrated. As we begin the week, in everything we do, let us diligently listen to GOD'S command and carefully follow what GOD demonstrated. John 3:16 GOD demonstrated HIS love by giving HIS Only SON. We are made in the likeness of GOD, let us imitate HIM (Ephesians 5:1) and follow HIM. This will bring peace in our hearts, joy and satisfaction. Amen.
