_Obadiah 1:3_
_The pride of your heart has deceived you, You who dwell in the clefts of the rock, Whose habitation is high; You who say in your heart, ‘Who will bring me down to the ground?’_
*Pride deceives the heart*
God requires that we accommodate people with all their limitations. Not one is perfect but God, however, we must strive to live in peace with all men. This means that we must work at ensuring cordial relationships with others.
Pride does not see the plight of others, neither does it care. It lifts one's opinion of themselves high but God promises to bring down the proud and to lift the humble. In order to be lifted up and receive approval from God, let us therefore live in humility. Let us see others in the image in which God created them. Humility cares and connects with God because He welcomes the humble.
*Prayer*
Oh Lord take away haughtiness from my heart and help me to be humble just as Jesus Christ was humble even unto the death of the cross. Amen
