_Matthew 21:42_
_Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord’s doing, And it is marvelous in our eyes’?_
*What a friend we have in Jesus*
Men will view people based on their family background and status while God sees the potential in us that noone knows about, including ourselves. When Gideon was visited by an angel of the Lord, he was addressed as a 'man of valour'. God has placed greatness in us and even in times of dejectedness, He still addresses us in the light of our potential and divine destiny.
This means that to God, we are not hopeless and He gathers us to Himself and loves us even when we are broken and seem worthless to those around us. Jesus Christ came for the lost and the heartbroken. He Himself was rejected by the very people He came to save. They did not see Him as the Saviour of the world and they will also not see your potential but God does and opens His arms to you. Let us therefore run to Jesus, our tower of refuge who will polish us up and bring out the potential in us.
*Prayer*
I come to you Lord Jesus, dejected and broken. Will you not revive and restore me that I may reach my full divine potential which you have planned for me? Amen.
