Wednesday showers of blessings come from Luke 24:13-16 "And then, that very day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, which was about seven miles from Jerusalem....."
These men were followers of CHRIST who also were confused by the events on Friday - Crucifixion of CHRIST. They failed to believe in JESUS'S Resurrection even though the women at the tomb had confirmed to them about it. And now they were going back to their village. JESUS' followers responded to Resurrection differently. Some believed and did something but some didn't belive and did nothing. Those women who believed went with the Resurrection Good News. Peter and the other Disciple went to verify for themselves at the tomb, some didn’t believe and they did nothing. Actually the Good News seemed like nonsense to their ears Luke 24:11. Some didn't believe and gave up and went home like these men. How are you responding to CHRIST'S Resurrection? What you are doing and how you are living is enough evidence of what you believe about CHRIST and HIS Resurrection. Amen.
