ZCC team led by the Humanitarian Services and Diakonia Director Maria Tendai Dendere graced the food distributions with support from government stakeholders and local leadership in Gwanda Ward 13. The project, which is funded by FELM, is an extension of a bigger program dubbed 'SCALING UP LIVELIHOODS AND RESILIENCE' which ZCC is implementing in Gwanda, Zvishavane and Mwenezi Districts.
A total of 729 beneficiaries received each a food hamper containing 10 kgs mealie meal, 2kgs beans, and 750 ml cooking oil.
Plans are underway to continue distributing throughout the remaining peak hunger period.
