What Is Your Request ?

*1 Kings 3:12-13*

12 I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be.

13 Moreover, I will give you what you have not asked for-both riches and honor-so that in your lifetime you will have no equal among kings.

*REQUEST*

 

When we love God and are devoted to him we encounter divine visitations. Solomon pleased God and was given an opportunity to ask for one thing from God. 

There is a tendency to ask for material things when given such an opportunity. We tend to miss or ignore what is needed for God's work to flourish.

Solomon asked for wisdom. God was pleased with this request. Above what he asked for, God gave him what he did not ask for. Do we love God? What petitions are we bringing to God? Is God pleased with them? Do they move him to do what we didn't ask for? May God guide us  to know what to ask for. 

*PRAYER*

Lord may I encounter your divine visitations. Help me to ask for spiritual blessings.
