*Ask for what pleases God*
There are special requests that trigger God to pour on us even things we did not ask for. This mainly happens when our prayer requests coincide with God's mandate for us. Solomon was chosen king over Israel & his prayer was for the wisdom to rule well.
As an example, God chose us to propagate the gospel. We must also ask for wisdom to do it well and all other needs will be fulfilled automatically.

Help me Lord to ask for things that are within your will, amen
