Thursday showers of blessings come from Numbers 32:1-5 "Now the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad had very large herds of cattle, and they saw the land of Jazer..... suitable for raising livestock.
[2] So they came and spoke to Moses, and Eleazar the priest,..... They said, “If we have found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants as a possession. Do not take us across the Jordan River. ”
These guys were honest with their situation on the ground although GOD had greater plans than what they imagined. On this side, they couldn't wait for GOD to bless them. They were wrong to bless themselves.
But on another side of the same story, I can compliment their eye that could see an opportunity to do livestock farming. They approached the leaders with their proposals and it was granted but obviously with Conditions to fulfill GOD'S plan first. I was trying to relate this periscope to our generation. Are we not a fearful generation which does not see opportunities and are not honest with our reality? It is my prayer that the LORD through the Power of the HOLY SPIRIT enable us to break this barrier of fear, and open our eye to see the reality of life and opportunities around it. Amen.
