Zimbabwe Council of Churches supported by the Government Stakeholders from offices of the District Development Coordinator(DDC), Agritex and Veterinary Services convened a training on Small Livestock Goat Production in Mwenezi District Ward 6.
The training was conducted on the 12th of January 2024.
The training provided essential information to farmers related to nutrition, disease prevention, breeding among others. It is anticipated that this training will help farmers to be able to increase the productivity of their livestock and improve their livelihoods.
In addition, the training will also help farmers to adapt to the effects of climate change as small livestock such as goats are more resilient to the impacts of climate change and can be an important source of food and income in times of drought.
