*Dear Family and Beloved Residents of Masvingo*


With a appreciative hearts, we write this message to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation for the overwhelming support and condolences extended to us during the difficult time of laying to rest our beloved mother, Tsungirirai Watadza [Nee Makotore] of Masvingo urban ward 4. 


Our mother peacefully passed away on January 8th, 2024, at Masvingo General Hospital, at the age of 61 [born on January 4th, 1963].


She was an extraordinary woman—a pillar of strength, a prayer warrior, a great motivator, and a true blessing to us all. May she rest in eternal peace.


We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Watadza and Makotore families for their unwavering support throughout this journey. Your love and solidarity have touched our hearts and provided solace during this challenging period.


The outpouring of support from hundreds of family members, friends, neighbors, and Citizens who gathered to lay our mother to rest at Lawn Cemetery in Masvingo City on January 10th, 2024, was truly overwhelming. Your presence and assistance have been a source of great comfort and strength to us, and we are forever grateful.


To the Salvation Army Church, Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries,  all the other churches that played a significant spiritual role, we express our sincere appreciation. Your prayers, guidance, and uplifting words were invaluable in helping us find solace and peace during this time of grief.


We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the esteemed Masvingo urban Member of Parliament, Honourable Martin Mureri, Senator Amai Chakabuda, Hon. Matara, His Worship Masvingo City Mayor Clr Alec Tabe, Former Masvingo Mayor Ms Shantel Chiwara, Clr Esther Zishiri, Clr Alaika Time, Clr Maxwell Madhuna, Clr Sitemere, Clr Bernard Muchokwa and Clr Sabina Chikwangwani and other councillors. Your presence and support in honoring our mother's memory were deeply meaningful to us.


Our warmest appreciation goes to the Masvingo business community, friends of Gogo Watadza and our dear neighbors for their unwavering support and acts of kindness. Your empathy and assistance during this trying time have meant the world to our family.


To all the Citizens of Masvingo and from other areas who came forward and offered support in various forms—financial contributions, cooking pots, food, chairs, vehicles, and other assistance—we are immensely grateful. Your generosity and willingness to help have lightened the burden we carried, and we will forever cherish your kindness.


In conclusion, we want to express our heartfelt prayers and blessings for each and every one of you. May God shower you with abundant blessings and grace for your selflessness and compassion. Your love and support have given us strength and reminded us of the power of community and unity in times of grief.


Once again, from the depths of our hearts, thank you *ALL* for standing by our side and for honoring the memory of our great mother, Mrs. Watadza.
