  ZCC Empowers Farmers  with Disaster Risk Management Training

Amidst the escalating frequency and severity of extreme weather events, the need for a robust Disaster Risk Management plan has never been more crucial. In line with this, the ZCC organized a comprehensive training session on Disaster Risk Management in Zvishavane Ward 7 on January 15, 2024. 

The training delved into key concepts, highlighted prevalent disasters in the district, and provided mitigation strategies.

 By emphasizing early warning systems, farmers gained valuable insights to safeguard their families, livestock, and livelihoods during disasters. 

The initiative received support from government stakeholders, including DDCs offices and public works departments, and was backed by Suomen Lähetysseura, Canadian Foodgrains Bank, ActionAid Zimbabwe, and Act for Peace.
