*Matthew 25:4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.*
Jesus Christ gave a parable to depict the kingdom of heaven. He likened it to five wise and five foolish virgins. The foolishness of the five was in their inability to prepare adequately for the coming of the groom. Life takes a toll on our anointing and we must continue to yearn for God to fill us over and over.
Waiting is the hardest thing and the word tells us that noone knows when the son of man will come. It is therefore important to continue to keep ourselves connected to God by possessing His Holy Spirit in us and preserving the divine anointing of God in us. It is important to preserve the spiritual gifts given to us so that we are ready to be received into heaven when the trumpet sounds and the saints are taken home.
*Prayer*
Help me oh Lord to be wise by being prepared and remaining committed to You, for I know not when You will return, Amen.
