WALKING IN THE FIRE

"---But I see four men unbound, walking in the middle of the fire, and they are not hurt, ---" (Daniel 3:25).

Daniel's friends were accused of disrespect to the king. The furious king threatened them, but they refused to compromise and demonstrated a robust faith in God. They refused to worship idols even under persecution. They were men of principles and integrity.

The enemy can bind our legs and hands but will never be in a position to bind the heart that worships and the mouth that sings praises. They were seen walking free in the fire, the same fire which consumed those who threw them. Walking free meant that they were praising. When we praise God, either He will join us to rescue or to strengthen us.

God has power over nature. He promised us in (Isaiah 43:2) that when we go through the fire He would be with us. Nebuchadnezzar was astonished to see them walking in fire. Our enemies will always be astonished because what they send to kill us, will actually be friendly to us and harm their own. Nebuchadnezzar had every reason to fear because his men who executed his sentence died instantly of the fire and had reason to think that his own turn would be next.

God can strike those with astonishment whose hearts are most hardened both against Him and against His people. He that made the soul can make His sword approach it even to that of the greatest tyrant.

The fire that could not burn their clothes burnt the codes which tied them and set them at liberty. God of nature when He pleases, controls the forces of nature to make them serve His purposes.

The furnace was so large that they had room to walk. Whatever the enemy is doing against you is actually creating room for another testimony. You will walk in that challenge, in that problem and become outstanding.

God will convince the proudest of men that He is the most High God and above them, and too hard for them. He will let them know who His servants are, that He owns them, and He will stand with them. God will stand by you in every wicked plan the enemy launches against you. Remain faithful to God.

To God be the glory.
