Finding Freedom in Forgiveness

I struggled with resentment and anger towards someone who had hurt me deeply. But one day, I read Matthew 6:14-15, which says, 'For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive you.' (NLT)

This verse convicted me to release the bitterness and choose forgiveness. It wasn't easy, but I prayed for the strength to let go. And as I did, I experienced a weight lifted off my shoulders. I realized that forgiveness isn't about the other person; it's about our own freedom. Someone told  me that, holding grudges is like drinking poison and expect someone else to die...

The Gospel truth is that we are all sinners in need of grace and forgiveness. When we extend that same grace to others, we experience the liberating power of the Gospel. I hope this encourages you to seek forgiveness and freedom in Christ.
