ZCC Hands Over PPEs To Cholera Centres




ZCC HANDSOVER PPEs TO CHOLERA CENTRES


The Zimbabwe Council of Churches (ZCC), in collaboration with Save the Children International (SCI) recently conducted a handover of Cholera Personnel Protective  Equipment (PPEs) and Non-Food Items (NFIs) to Cholera Treatment Centers (CTCs) and health care facilities in Epworth and Chitungwiza. 


The ZCC General Secretary, Rev W. Dimingu, and representatives from Save the Children supported this initiative. During the handover exercise, Dr. Makamba, the Epworth District Medical Officer from the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC), commended the ZCC and SCI for their efforts in enhancing disease surveillance, preparedness, and response capacity in Cholera hotspots within Harare. 


This handover marked the conclusion of a 4-month cholera response program in Chitungwiza and Epworth, aimed at reducing the morbidity and mortality associated with the cholera epidemic. - Voice of Hope


BIBLE SOCIETY MOOTS SIGN LANGUAGE COURSE


Bible Society of Zimbabwe will run Basic and Intermediate Sign Language Training Courses at Bible House 99 Mbuya Nehanda Street in Harare in the month of July.


There will be a $10.00 non-refundable registration, $30.00 tuition per month and a graduation fee of $20.00.


Duration of both courses is 3 months.


Deadline for applications have been set for Friday June 28th June 2024.

ZAOGA COMMEMORATES 64th ANNIVERSARY 


ZAOGA Foward in Faith Ministries recently celebrated 64th anniversary. In his anniversary message, the church’s President Apostle Dr. Joseph Guti vowed that the Ministry will march on, while urging the congregants to hold on to the church’s tradition and pattern.


“This Ministry will not come to an end. Anniversary means realignment and it acts as a reminder to all of us. GWERU DIOCESE CELEBRATES THE FEAST OF MARY HELP OF CHRISTIANS 


Catholics in the Gweru Diocese gathered recently at the diocesan shrine in Driefontein to celebrate the Feast of Mary Help of Christians and the consecration of the Shrine in honour of Mary.

His Excellence, the Apostolic Nuncio to Zimbabwe, Archbishop Janusz Stanislaw Urbanczyk presided over the Vigil Mass with Bishop Rudolf Nyandoro the Bishop of Gweru and priests of the Diocese concelebrating. In attendance, were over 3200 congregants. - Catholic Church News
