Government, Methodist Church Unite to Combat Drug Abuse, Unemployment

The Government, led by Honourable Tinoda Machakaire, Minister of Youth Empowerment Development and Vocational Training Centres (VTCs), has forged a significant partnership with the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe (MCZ) Youth and Children Ministry to address critical social issues. This collaboration focuses on combating drug abuse and reducing unemployment among the youth.

The initiative aims to empower young people by providing comprehensive support in youth development, talent discovery, and skill nurturing. By combining the resources and expertise of both the government and the church, the partnership seeks to create a robust framework for addressing these challenges.

The government's involvement through the Ministry of Youth Empowerment Development and VTCs is pivotal in offering structured vocational training and developmental programs. These efforts are complemented by the Methodist Church's dedication to nurturing young talents and providing moral and spiritual guidance.

This joint venture marks a proactive approach to tackling drug abuse and unemployment, aiming to foster a more productive and resilient youth population. Through combined efforts, the Government and MCZ are setting a precedent for collaborative solutions to pressing societal issues.
