*James 2:1* My brothers and sisters do not show favouritism as you hold on to the faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ.

*Hold no partiality but adhere to faith*

James is urging the Christian readers to believe in God thoroughly. Our trust in Christ should change the way we think and see things. This human tendency has killed the church today. Most Christians are under heavy persecution because the leaders of today believe "If we treat the rich and powerful people well, they will treat us well." However, the bible in James is insisting that, this act shows a lack of faith in the God who provides for us. We are being challenged to show no partiality or favouritism. True believers trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Lord of Glory.

If we are trusting the Lord to meet all of our needs, why show favouritism to anyone in hopes that they will provide for us.

*Prayer*

Oh Lord! Help us to show no prejudice, no partiality. Help us to hold and practice the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ the Lord of glory.
