The Zimbabwe Council of Churches in collaboration with the District Development Coordinator's office, Office of the President Cabinet (OPC) and the Ministry of Health and Child Care , successfully distributed Corn Soy Blend plus (CSB+) porridge in Wards 14 and 6 of Mwenezi district (CSB+)under the Felm funded Emergency Nutrition project. This distribution marked the culmination of the 4-month (May-August 2024) supplementary feeding program which provided vital nutritional support to 600 beneficiaries.
As part of the organization's broad El-Nino response efforts, the beneficiaries received 5kg CSB+ to enhance the nutrition status of pregnant and lactating women and children under 5 who are at risk of malnutrition due to food insecurity.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Zimbabwe Council of Churches and its partner Felm (Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission) for the nutritional support received.
