Zimbabwe Council of Churches together with other members under the banner of ZHOCD Chiredzi ,Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace in Zimbabwe , Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe , UDACIZA ORIGINAL and Deaf Zimbabwe Trust is currently conducting a parliamentary engagement meeting with persons with disabilities.
The meeting has commenced with introductions and highlighting what participants envision an inclusive society to be.
The participants which include members of the disability Parliamentary caucus indicated that an inclusive society includes having affordable and accessible localised services for persons with disabilities, accessibility to water, economic empowerment of persons with disabilities, access to transportation adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities, persons with disabilities in key decision making positions amoung other issues.
