Feed On God's Word

Jeremiah 15:16 When I found your words, I devoured them; your words were my joy, the happiness of my heart, Because I bear your name, LORD, God of hosts.

*Bear God’s name/Feed on God’s word*

He who carries God in his heart bears Heaven with him wherever he goes. We need to welcome the word of God as our daily food. Jeremiah cheerfully received God’s words, treasured them up in his memory, digested them in his mind, and carefully retained them. Jeremiah 15:16 Calls Us to Delight In God’s Word. God’s Word must become a joy to you and it should be the delight of your heart. Praise God that He has called us by name and may we grow in our dependence on Him through delighting in His Word.

*Prayer*

Lord, help us to fill our stomachs with the truth of your Word, to eat this, to let this be our joy. As we do, God, to experience a depth of intimacy with you, the Lord God of hosts who has called our name. God, we praise you for your Word, our joy and delight. In Jesus’ name, amen.
