STRENGTH FOR TODAY

𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞  

For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions so, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐬 𝟐:𝟏𝟏 -𝟏𝟑 𝐍𝐈𝐕.

Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. 

They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.

1 Corinthians 16:13 NIV

-We must constantly remind ourselves of one thing; 𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡.

-As we pass through this Earth, we are preparing for our final home.

-Our final home is not the grave

-As we prepare for our home, we are waiting for two things:

it's either we die and go to the Lord or the Lord will come to take us

-Our blessed hope is about the great day of the coming of the Lord.

For, “In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.” - Hebrews 10:37 NIV

-On that day, there will be two groups of people

-One group is described in Revelation 6:15-16. The Bible says they will be ashamed and afraid.

-They will wish for death.

-These are the people who never expected the coming of the Lord.

-It will be a scary day for them. It will be a moment of reality.

-But for us children of God, it will be a beautiful day.

-It will be a wonderful rewarding 

-It is what we look forward to 

-The Bible says it is our blessed hope

-Hope helps you to endure hardship 

-Hope helps you to look forward to the future

-Our hope helps us to be committed to our journey.

-Hope helps us to say no to sin.

-Hope encourages us to soldier on.

-Hope helps us to overcome depression 

Four things we must do as we look forward to our blessed hope:

✅️WATCH OUT (Be on your guard) against deception, temptation, traps.

✅️ BE COURAGEOUS - stand up with integrity. Other versions say :Act like men". Stand out. Maturity.

✅️ STAND FIRM IN FAITH - Never give up. Stand resolute.

✅️BE STRONG - you will face challenges, discouragement and losses. - Salvationist online
