A Special Tribute to Nomsa Nyembesi Meja

By Honest Makanyire

Go well, faithful servant of Christ Jesus, a dedicated member of The Methodist Church in Zimbabwe.

I began my fellowship with Nomsa Nyembesi Meja in 2009 at Rujeko MCZ,

Masvingo. Nomsa's unwavering commitment to the work of God was truly inspiring.

As a preacher, she tirelessly spread the message of the cross, reaching out to Munyambe, Domboshava, and Macheka societies within the Masvingo North Circuit of the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe. I had the privilege of working alongside Nomsa in the evangelism department, where she even led the team for a time.

Nomsa was a beacon of joy and dedication, embodying the spirit of the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe’s Masvingo North Circuit and beyond. She held various positions at society, section, and circuit levels, demonstrating her tireless commitment to service.

At the time of her passing, she served as the preachers’ secretary for the Methodist Church in the Masvingo District, the Masvingo North Circuit preachers’ secretary, the urban section MCZ evangelism treasurer, and a preacher. Additionally, she was the secretary at MCZ Rujeko society.

Her last sermon was delivered on September 15 during a team evangelism event at Munyambe. On Monday, October 7, she was called home to be with the Lord.

Go well, Nomsa Nyembesi Meja.
