Jehovah Is God

By Dorcas Moyo

### Introduction

In the midst of drought and desperation in Israel, the prophet Elijah gathered the people on Mount Carmel. They were suffering from severe famine, yet Elijah called for a contest: let them prepare offerings and see which deity would respond by sending fire. If Jehovah answers, He is the true God; if Baal answers, let him be worshipped.

The Current Situation

While this story may seem distant, it resonates with our lives today. Many are seeking God earnestly. Yet, they face dark spiritual forces. Accidents and tragedies plague our roads, often fueled by these evil influences, leading even the faithful to face dire circumstances. Despite these challenges, people continue to pursue help, drawn by the miracles they witness, even when their personal desires remain unmet.

 The Choice of Worship

This brings us to the crucial decision of whom to worship. Proverbs 3:5 tells us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding." If one does not trust fully in Jehovah, they have not truly made a decision about whom to worship. Relying on prophets or seeking blessings without total faith in God is insufficient.

When one chooses God completely, they become open to receiving their own miracles rather than merely witnessing others’. It’s essential to seek true satisfaction in God and make a conscious decision about whom to worship.

 Conclusion

Those who enjoy the miracles surrounding prophetic ministry must ask themselves: are you truly satisfied with the God you worship? Choose Jehovah wholeheartedly; waiting for rain while depending on others can leave you unfulfilled. The time to decide is now.
