"Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God." - Matthew 5:8 (NIV)
God delights in holiness.
These days there are many pressures in people’s lives.
Some are battling financial crisis, some emotional abuse and domestic violence, some drug and substance intake, some job losses and even failure to acquire one, infidelity, competition and many other things.
The above mentioned are affecting people’s walk with Christ although they still remember to attend Sunday services.
In The Salvation Army’s Global Strategic Framework, the General encouraged people to Know Jesus, be like Jesus and do what Jesus did.
Thus, Jesus is Holy, and we need to be Holy.
Heaven, His dwelling place is pure, and its inhabitants are also pure.
A pure heart is one which molds character, guide choice and master all the course and conduct of a man's life.
How good and important it is to each one of us that we should have a good, right, and pure heart?
A pure heart isn't a heart that is never tempted.
Jesus himself was tempted but he conquered the devil.
A pure heart is not a heart that cannot suffer.
Jesus, holy and undefiled became a man of sorrows and He learned obedience through what He suffered.
Unless we take heed, watch, and pray we will be overtaken by this wave of rebellion by anti-christ.
In the physical we all seem strong and victorious but in the spiritual are many casualties who need strong intercession.
We need to be pure for us to see God. - Hebrews 12:14
"Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy. Without holiness no one will see God."
May we always work towards purity of heart.
Blessed week. - Salvationist online
