The Zimbabwe Heads of Christian Denominations (ZHOCD), is convening a 2025 National Budget Analysis meeting in Harare. The meeting aims to break down and analyze the budget from socioeconomic, gender, and social inclusion perspectives, influence the parliamentary debates around the 2025 National Budget, and achieve citizens’ articulated priorities and demands. It will also raise citizen awareness and encourage informed participation in Zimbabwe’s public budgeting, expenditure, and public finance management and oversight processes.
In his opening remarks, the president of the ZCC, Bishop Dr. I. Makumbe, noted that traditional budgeting practices have often overlooked the unique challenges faced by different segments of our population, particularly women and marginalized groups.
