The Tower of Power...

Do not say, “Why were the old days better than these?” For it is not wise to ask such questions.

Ecclesiastes 7:10 NIV

It is not wise to ask such questions.

Think of many questions you have asked in silence?

Why are things going this way?

Why did God allow such things?

Why did my parents give birth to me?

Does God exist?

So many questions we have asked, but the Word today is teaching us that it not wise to ask such questions.

Many times we often question God with a rebellious and untrusting heart which is a sin.

Everything is done for a special purpose.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

Sometimes, questions come from comparing our current life with our old good days.

But however, the good in the past closes our eyes to the good of the current times.

In our appreciation of the past we can trust God for the best today and tomorrow.

Let us know that God's thoughts are different from ours, nokuti ndiMwari.

"My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts," says the Lord."And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9

Rather than questioning God, we should trust him for our entire being.

The good old days are an indication of God at work then as He is capable of greater things now.

The goodness of the former days should never give us questions for the present times. God is with us in all seasons.

Your current times might be greater than your past, trust God for it.

"Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16
