DAILY DEVOTIONAL MCZ MISSION DEPARTMENT
Hebrews 13:20-21
20 Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, 21 equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
The message in this text is so powerful. God is literally promising us that as Jesus died on the cross for our redemption, we were bought into an inheritance that is everlasting. Now, when we say everlasting we simply say eternal, forever.. What this means is that, there is no limit, no boundaries to what we have in Jesus Christ. If we take the time to go before God and tell Him that we are ready to listen and trust and obey, rest assured He is ready to act and fulfill.God did not just sacrifice His son so that we can suffer on this earth. He is ready to open the floodgates of grace to enable us victory in everything we need. If we take a look at the story of Ruth, though the Messiah was not yet born, He was already in existence and so what we witnessed was an example of how magnificent and dominating God's thoughts are. Every move was planned and came out exactly as it was to be because Ruth and Naomi believed and trusted. As we countdown the days into the new year, may God open doors never seen. We have to give Him a chance. He is asking us to give Him a chance to prove that He is the same back then, today and forevermore. We don’t have to carry a single burden, He’s got that covered!
Prayer: Lord I want to trust you with everything that I am. Equip me so that I will realize and follow your will for the glory of the Kingdom of God. Amen.
