Remain Vigilant In Jesus Name

 DAILY DEVOTIONAL MCZ MISSION DEPARTMENT

Luke 4:16-20

16 He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read, 17 and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free,

19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” 20 Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down.

When Jesus understood a time for every stage of His life’s purpose, He didn’t waste it. When we know our purpose and why were created to be who we are in life we don’t waste time in trying to receive validation from others. We do what we were created to do. Thats called running our race. Everyone in the Kingdom of God has got an anointing to fulfill their purpose on earth. Jesus Christ already opened the doorway, we are only to follow in His footsteps and believe He will complete what He started in us. We proclaim the spirit of the Lord is with us and yet most of the times we live in fear ourselves of the unknown and end up misusing Gods power. The word was there from the beginning and the word was made flesh, meaning there was an action which took place in order for the word to be made manifest. This action requires true and vigilant servants of God to stand firm in fulfillment of the word because we were given the power. Let us then adopt Jesus character and release children of God in bondage so that they experience His love whist living in the land of the living.  To take their position and become living testimonies of Gods goodness.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, please give us the strength to manifest your presence in your children-so they believe you are still the same yesterday, today and forevermore.
