DAILY DEVOTIONS MCZ MISSION DEPARTMENT
"Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live." - John 14:19
It's heartbreaking to acknowledge that we live in a world where God's Word is often marginalized. We've become more focused on religious rituals than cultivating a deep, spiritual connection with the Lord.
We cry out to God when circumstances become difficult, yet we've pushed Him to the fringes of our lives. We've given Him little to no space in our hearts.
In John 14:19, Jesus shares a profound truth with His followers. Though the world may not see Him, those who have accepted Him will continue to see Him, even in the midst of trials.
Why is it that we often fail to encounter the presence of the Lord, despite attending church services and praying? Have we become indistinguishable from the world?
Jesus' words are clear: the world won't see Him, but His children will. And because He lives, we also will live. Failing to see Jesus results in spiritual death.
Prayer
Help us, Lord, to see You in our lives and to put You first above everything - above our status, our religion, and our worldly pursuits. May we not become like the world, but instead, may we be transformed by Your presence in our lives.
May the Lord bless the people called Methodist.
