It is not Father’s Day, nor Mother’s Day nor even Children’s Day. But this is a reminder that needs to happen.
Often, we as children are reminded to do things right—to obey, to respect, to be responsible.
But just as we are called to do what is right, parents and guardians must also uphold their role with love, integrity, and faithfulness.
The Bible tells us, "Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged." (Colossians 3:21).
Just as children are commanded to honor their parents (Exodus 20:12), parents are called to lead with patience, wisdom, and love.
Promises made to children matter. When you say, "I will always be here for you," or "I will protect you," those words shape our sense of security.
A broken promise can shatter trust and leave wounds unseen. But a kept promise builds confidence, love, and a strong foundation for life.
God, our ultimate Father, never fails in His promises. "He is faithful in all He does." (Psalm 33:4).
Parents, you are called to reflect this same faithfulness, guiding us not just with words but with actions.
So today, let this be a reminder—not just for children, but for parents too.
Let us all strive to do what is right because when love, trust, and faithfulness abound in a family, it becomes a reflection of God's own love for us.
