Praying for Safety on the Roads: Zimbabwe Council of Churches Leads Powerful Prayer Day in Beitbridge

In a moving display of unity and concern, the Zimbabwe Council of Churches (ZCC) participated in a powerful prayer day in Beitbridge last week, focusing on the critical issue of road accidents. The event was a massive campaign that brought together ZCC ministers, members, and the community to pray for safety, healing, and an end to the scourge of road accidents.

Six strategic locations were selected for the prayers, including the Engen garage, OJs, White House Bulawayo Bus stop, Chicago, and the toll gate, which was the site of a recent devastating bus disaster that claimed the lives of 29 people. The final stop was at Matshiloni.

ZCC ministers led the prayers, while members from various ZCC churches joined in unity to petition for divine intervention. The prayers were a call to action, seeking God's protection and guidance for all road users.

The prayer day was part of the ZCC's #ConversationsOfHope initiative, which aims to bring people together to address critical social issues. By praying together, the community sent a powerful message of hope and resilience.

As the ZCC continues to promote a culture of safety and responsibility on the roads, this prayer day served as a poignant reminder of the importance of collective action and prayer in addressing the challenges facing our communities.
