Zimbabwe Council of Churches Joins United Methodist Church in Celebrating New Leadership

The Zimbabwe Council of Churches (ZCC) recently joined the United Methodist Church (UMC) in celebrating a significant milestone – the passing of the gavel from outgoing Bishop E.K. Nhiwatiwa to incoming Bishop G.K. Machinga.

This momentous occasion marked the beginning of a new chapter in the leadership of the UMC in Zimbabwe. Bishop Machinga, who takes over the reins, will also assume a new role as a member of the ZCC Supervisory Council.

The ceremony, which was attended by various stakeholders and members of the UMC and ZCC, was an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of Bishop Nhiwatiwa's tenure and to welcome Bishop Machinga's leadership.

Those who missed the live proceedings can still catch up on the celebration on the Zimbabwe Council of Churches' Facebook page.

This transition in leadership marks an exciting new chapter for the United Methodist Church in Zimbabwe, and the Zimbabwe Council of Churches looks forward to continuing their partnership and collaboration under Bishop Machinga's leadership.
